KMB- 1800. Amsterdam sampler

KMB's sampler is from Amsterdam as indicated by the coat of arms, the three crosses on a shield and flanked by two lions. The facing rabbits and the children carrying a star are other elements found on samplers from this city. Thee Kings day in January was celebrated by children going door to door, singing and carrying a star. The maid of Freedom and the grape carriesr are featured as well as Adam and Eve.
